Will crawls up on the box he brought with him, to peak his head into the top hatch, he hisses, and withdraws his head, bringing a cloud of dust and sticky debris attached to his horns. He reaches up and drags down a lot more loose debris, and tosses it on the floor, before looking again. He finally reaches up, and in to the absolute limit of his long arm, before giving up, and shaking his head.
"Hey Rose? Are any of my skinnier helpers floating about? I need someone to crawl into this shaft, and I won't fit. Booth is pretty skinny, but he'll need to wear a suit. It's pretty dirty in there," Will says. Then under his breath, "Hopefully he brings his better mood."

Rose's com comes online and she speaks sweetly to Will."Booth is on his way, he went to get a suit. Did you want me to send Trouble down to you? Oh, she is telling stories by the way.... stories you should see."With that a projection from the camera appears on the wall, showing Trouble jumping into the room, spinning around and telling her story (click here for the story) "She is quite good, did you teach her how to tell stories?"ROSE RED (aka Rosenrot)

Will smiles fondly at the spindly girl, "Oh no. She didn't get that skill from me. That's all her. . . Also, some of that is gross speculation and exaggeration." The big beastman chuckles, though.

Rose chuckles as well at Will's response."Booth wants to know if you want lunch brought to you as well. I am surprised, I did not know beastmen children and parents were so devoted to each other. That isn't what we were taught in the military. I realize the nursery bands are important, and maybe as a band there is a close relationship, but I didn't realize actual parental/child was so close. I think it is wonderful. You two are very good for each other."
Rose is quiet for a few moments, then projects another video. (click here for the story)
"That is also new, I didn't realize shamans could be shamans without the warp. I especially didn't think they would teach a story like that to children since it seems counter to the way bands work with Warp and Chaos."
/oog - this is not a normal story taught, it is unlikely she ever heard that story from any beastman band. These stories often do not get told and if a beastman has the dreams about them, it could mean they might... and I say might not definitely, be capable of being a shaman.ROSE RED (aka Rosenrot)

Will says, "Nah, I'm good. I just need to clean this out so it stops making that noise when it extends and retracts."
He looks over his shoulder at the ceiling, ears flattened, "I'm sure the military taught all sorts of things they thought they knew, or outright lied about to fit their agenda, about my people. It's easier to kill your opponents down the last child if you take away their 'humanity' and tell the soldiers that they are not capable to familial love. Look, all near mammalian species tend to make bonds with their children. We follow very similar patterns when it comes to childrearing."
He then spares a few moments to watch Trouble's latest story, and smiles sadly, before continuing, "That is not a common story. It's a good one. We were not always ravaged by chaos, and if you listen very carefully in the dreaming, you can hear those old voices and stories. They get drowned out by the screams of fealty for chaos lords, but they exist. Bands all run a bit differently. Some are chaos tainted, some avoid it. Most bands with children avoid it because it's so self destructive. You can't maintain forever if you are tainted. You are just shock troops for a mindless god that doesn't care if your children future is secured. Most chosen by chaos are also driven to rove out to follow their new master's agenda, as well. The warp gods spare us enough, so our numbers don't fall, but it's a lottery of self destruction."

Illiana creeps up to the corner, staging low. She motions to Trouble to move up next to her and stay low, then makes a few hand gestures for her to follow quietly. She then creeps around the corner on all fours. At the last minute she jumps up and wraps her arms around Will and yells "Surprise hug!!"

Trouble creeps through the passages with Illiana, when they arrive she watches Illiana move in for a hug and without thinking Trouble steps away in a ducking motion, waiting for Will to swing.

Will reacts by dropping into a fighting stance, and swings the tool in his hand for half a second, before stopping, and freezing in place. He then continues to hold his arms in the air, as Illiana wraps around him. His ears flip fully forward, and he looks a bit bewildered, before seeking out Trouble's eyes to see what is happening.
"Th. . . Thank you," he says to Illiana, unsure of what one does in this situation.

Trouble cocks her head watching the hug unfold. A little unsure at all this she then steps forward and tries vainly to hug the other two.

Illiana holds on long enough for the hug to get uncomfortable. "Isn't this nice? Trouble told a great story and it made me want to hug someone. Naturally I thought of you." She lets go and looks a Will with a silly grin on her face.

Will smiles down at Illiana, and being at a loss what to do with all this, pats her on the head.
"Thank you," He says with a smiley and then goes back to reaching up into the ducts.

Booth wanders into the hall, a basket of food with him. He notices the commotion and an uncommonly Daikan like response he races up to see what is going on.
"Someone get hurt? Someone crying? Why are we having hugs now?"

Will flicks an ear, and says, "Illiana heard a story, and wanted to hug me. I'm not exactly privy to the particulars of all this." He looks at Trouble, "Nobody is hurt, are they?"

Trouble gives Will a large smile, the pride in her eyes for her father is unmistakable at this distance. "Only Matiz, he is hurting pretty bad since you chopped his head off."Trouble then leans over and hugs her father.

Will snaps around to look at Trouble, and flattens his ears back, "Or maybe, I will just hunt little children!" He then grabs Trouble and tosses her in the air a couple times, and starts laughing despite himself.
